Here are a few recent e-mails we've received ~

Dear Joanne,

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this whole new "way" of homeschooling. I never wanted to equate what I was feeling about teaching my children with "burn-out", but I guess it fits.

I learned about you from a friend of mine who bought one of your homeschool planners a few years back and uses your charts as a "spine" for hers. I needed some new ideas for charts and she let me borrow your planner. That's when I found your site. This was back in mid-December and have been VERY excited ever since.

My husband is very supportive of our children 'self-teaching' because he remembers that back in junior high, he once had a class where the teacher didn't have time for all his students (there were several ages in the class) so he paired my husband with another boy and gave them a math book and told them to learn it. He said he loved it and learned more in that class than he did in any other.

Thanks again Joanne!

Warmly,
Denise W

Joanne,
I love the planners!  Last year, we shifted from the spoon-fed-unit-study (I love unit studies for group interaction, but I tended to "hand out" too much information) to more of a self-learning style.

It was a transition, so I filled out the planners last year, then they followed through with the assignments.  Since February I have been hinting toward the Robinson Curriculum style (when I discovered Joanne's awesome, extensive vocabulary program there).

Now, during our summer break I am preparing to go full self-learning (at least 95%- our French lessons are always a group effort, lol), and am thrilled with the quality and content from RC (which hugely compliments the vocab).  I also thought it was especially helpful to purchase the "high school" planner.  Same format, but filled with helpful tips about college testing/ transcripts.

Blessings

Hi Joanne,
Just a quick note to say how much easier your planners have made our lives.  I needed to assemble my oldest daughter's transcript, a chore I had been putting off for quite sometime.  I pulled out all her planners for the last several years and was so surprised how quickly everything came together! No hunting and no searching, everything right in one place!

My son also loves to see all of his week's work at once.  I give him a highlighter to mark completed work as he goes and at a glance I can check his progress.

Thank you so much for making such a well thought out and easy to use planner!

Dear Joanne,
I have been using your student planners for about 3 years and just wanted to let you know we love them!  My favorite things are the pockets and the fact that I do not have to count days anymore.  We just fill in squares and when we get to the last one, we know we have done all 180 days!

On a more serious note, though, the High School Planner is loaded with all kinds of college prep information which is very helpful.  I recommend them to all my friends.  Thank you!

Dear Joanne,
What an awesome book I've just read!! (The Self-Teaching Manual) I plan to encourage each one in our group to check it out.
Thanks, Amy
